Health Admin/Adult Day Care InternAt — Legacy Care ADHC/CBAS
The Public Health Intern will gain hands-on experience in community-based health programming, health education, and program support activities. Under supervision, the intern will assist with the implementation of health promotion initiatives, participant engagement, data tracking, and administrative functions. This internship is designed to provide practical exposure to public health principles in a real-world setting.
Tasks:
The intern will demonstrate their learning outcomes by assisting in monitoring engagement and participation levels of our participants and to compile the necessary data, assist with our therapeutic and recreational activities, support mobility activities (in a non-clinical role) and assist with culturally appropriate health programming.
Training:
We will provide program orientation, which will consist of an introduction to our organizational mission, services provided, policies, workflows. Provide HIPAA training, emergency preparedness and procedures, introduction to documentation and provide guided observation and participation under staff supervision.
Learning Outcome:
Apply Public Health principles and practices to support community based programs through education, data collection, program support activities, and communicate effectively with diverse populations.
