Opportunity Summary 

Interns will be educated and included in a hands-on approach to gain experience on how to train, coach and impact athletes of various sports/ ages.

Tasks:

-Coaching and giving exceptional customer service to athletes
-Learn how to progress/regress exercises
-Learn how to create an individual training program to reach athlete's goals in a timely manner
-Facility Upkeep

Training:

Training will include 20 hours of job shadowing and initial hands-on trainer orientation.
Once completed with first phase, will be given small group (1-4 athletes) to work with which will already have an individualized program that must be coached and progressed by intern. After completing this for 50 hours, another 50 hours must be completed in which intern will create an individualized program for 1-4 athletes with knowledge of how to coach, progress/regress exercises, and reach certain results in strength/speed. Student will not be alone with athletes and owner will be guiding them through the trainings.

Learning Outcome:

-Learn how to coach and implement different exercise modalities for athletes in order for them to achieve their goals within a specific time frame (Off-Season, Pre-Season, In-Season)
-Receive education on current topics of exercise, weight lifting, speed and agility training
-Be educated on the ins & outs of running a sports performance facility, such as sales, marketing, facility upkeep, customer service, etc.
