Opportunity Summary 

Learn current techniques in personal training and biomechanics. Work in a team atmosphere helping beginners and intermediate strength training. 

Tasks:

They will be reading a biomechanics literature on how programming for adults have changed throughout the years. They will learn periodization training for strength, cardiovascular thresholds based on age and ability, as well as coaching techniques for beginners and intermediate.
The books and literature will be reviewed weekly with summaries and presentations required.

Training:

Each intern will have weekly 1/1 meetings with me, the owner, and the head trainer. They will learn what it is to run an efficient training business. They will study our internship manual which will guide them in programming and technical skills in strength training.

Learning Outcome:

Properly cue strength training techniques.
Learn how to communicate precisely and make someone feel at ease as they learn how to strength train for the first time.
Be in the position to show empathy to adults as they navigate a new fitness journey.
