Arts InternAt — Pomona Hope
Pomona Hope offers interns a meaningful way to gain experience while making a real impact. Our nonprofit after-school program gives students the chance to mentor youth, build leadership skills, and get hands-on experience in education and community work. Through leading workshops, supporting students, and introducing your own ideas for activities, students can grow their confidence, strengthen their resume, and be a part of the community we serve.
Students who intern at Pomona Hope learn how to communicate effectively with different age groups, especially how to explain ideas clearly and patiently to younger students. Over time, they build leadership by guiding activities, managing small groups, and stepping into mentorship roles. They build empathy, cultural awareness, and a stronger sense of social responsibility by working closely with diverse groups of students and families.
Students will be expected to complete a 45 minute in-person training.
As most of our work is centered around working directly with students, all adult interns and volunteers are required to complete Live Scan fingerprinting prior to working with students.
