Are you passionate about conservation and interested in gaining hands-on experience with exhibit curation? Join the Escondido Creek Conservancy as an Exhibit Development Intern! Help us create engaging new exhibits for the Elfin Forest Recreational Reserve’s Interpretive Center. This opportunity is inclusive of mileage reimbursement at the current California rate, but is otherwise unpaid. We will also provide letters of recommendation, serve as professional references, and verify community service hours
Digitally cataloged past Elfin Forest Recreational Reserve's Interpretive Center Exhibits. Organized the physical exhibits into storage. Assisted in the creation of a new nature-based exhibit. Collaborated with Conservancy Education Staff and EFRR Rangers to ensure accurate and comprehensive cataloging. Participated in meetings and planning sessions as required. Assisted with other tasks as assigned.
Minimal training is needed for the student to be successful in developing an exhibit. If questions are present, the student should reach out to Ariel Reed at EducationDirector@escondidocreek.org with clarifying questions.
