Submit RFIs

Coordinate between subcontractors and trades

Manage specific subcontractors and be the main contact and coordinator

Produce or supervise the production of shop drawings

Supervise and inspect field work and could be made fully responsible for specific locations within the jobsite

Coordinate with superintendent and provide drawings and explanations as required

Understand drawing details and specification requirements and relate it to the superintendent

Order long lead and specialty materials and also keep track should this material run out

Resolve technical issues with the Architect /Engineer

Prepare submittals for work to be performed

Track submittals, RFIs

Redline drawings for as-builts 

Training:

Examples of training include an initial General employer orientation (mandatory), weekly scheduled one-on-one mentor meetings, job shadowing, workshops/skills training, provision of work samples, overview/contextualization of assigned tasks, training literature reviews and testing.
