Opportunity Summary 

Job Summary

The Accounting & Finance Intern supports the Finance organization by assisting with financial analysis, reporting, and process improvements. This role provides hands-on exposure to corporate finance operations, analytical tools, and cross-functional collaboration while developing core financial and business skills.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Assist in preparing monthly financial reports, dashboards, and variance analyses.

  • Support budgeting and forecasting cycles through data validation and model updates.

  • Conduct financial analysis to identify trends, risks, and opportunities.

  • Assist with researching and identifying root causes for shortages, chargebacks, and other contra revenue.

  • Cash applications, reading and understanding interrelationships in customer remittances including deductions, trade allowances, short pays, rebates

  • Participate in operational finance activities such as cost tracking and procurement support.

  • Prepare presentation materials for finance leadership reviews, post audit research, AP audits.

  • Maintain documentation and support enhancements to financial processes and internal controls.

  • Conduct ad-hoc research and analysis as requested.

  • Other duties as assigned.

  • Currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration, or related field

  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to read, interpret, and analyze financial reports, dashboards, and variance analyses

  • Experience supporting budgeting and forecasting through data validation and model updates

  • Ability to analyze financial data to identify trends, risks, opportunities, and root causes of variances and contra revenue

  • Proficient in arithmetic, percentages, ratios, and basic statistical concepts; able to interpret charts and graphs

  • Understanding of cash application processes, including customer remittances, deductions, trade allowances, rebates, and short pays

  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to apply sound judgment and manage multiple variables

  • Effective written and verbal communication skills, including preparing reports and presentation materials

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Teams, SharePoint) and familiar with cloud-based collaboration tools
