Treasury InternAt — Vision Service Plan (VSP)

We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Treasury Intern to join our team. The ideal candidate will be eager to learn about treasury functions, including cash management, liquidity forecasting, financial risk management, and banking relationships. This internship provides an excellent opportunity to gain practical experience in a fast-paced, professional environment.

Tasks:

Cash Forecasting & Reporting - assist with development of a dashboard for tracking
Pull cash balances by bank to assist with cash forecasting
Review investment portfolio policies and track performance
Review debt documents for understanding of guidelines for companies that issue bonds/sources loans from banks
Review quarterly debt payment & covenant calculations
Assist with the integration of various treasury tasks at our recent acquisition
Technology - research various AI treasury solutions and suggest best practices

Training:

Initial General employer orientation
Regular one-on-one mentor meetings
Assigned projects with output review/discussion
Review of Treasury basic functions/responsibilities in general and at VSP specifically.
Job shadowing

Learning Outcomes:

• Assist with bank account reconciliations and reporting.
• Participate/observe in meetings with external banks and financial institutions.
• Contribute to the implementation of a bank account management system, assisting with system setup and ensuring data integrity.
• Contribute to the preparation of treasury reports and presentations for senior management
• Participate in process improvements and optimize treasury operations
