Teacher's AideAt — Tutor Time Child Care/ Learning Center

Work with children 1-5 years or 6-12 years

Tasks:

Implementing Curriculum
Classroom Management
Supervision of Children
Mealtime
Naptime
Parent Communication

Training:

Each new employee gets a week of training that includes: Safety, Supervision, Mandated Reporting, Abuse Prevention, Bloodborne Pathogens, Health and Safety. All training is done by the director. The safety training is done is by the school's Safety Captain. The Observational training is conducted with our Master Teacher. Feedback is given throughout the process and will continue during the time here. There are also specific Teacher In-Service Days that are done on Veterans Day and Presidents Day.

Learning Outcomes:

By the end of the academic internship, the student will be able to care for children and their safety. Be able to create a weekly curriculum and implement it in the classroom.
