Veterans Transition Center General Support Service Learner - VTCAt — Veterans Transition Center (VTC)

Opportunity Summary 

Students will have the opportunity to shadow all departments to learn about the societal barriers that may be in place for formerly homeless, or formerly incarcerated, Veterans.

Departments may include:

  • Transitional Housing
  • Emergency Housing 
  • Re-entry Department
  • Facilities - maintenance, pantry, veteran housing projects 
  • Operations - administrative and strategic planning
  • Marketing and Development - administrative and strategic planning

Apply your knowledge to real work scenarios, dive deep into real life attempts of removing barriers specific to financial, medical, and housing needs.

3 service learner spots

Requirements:

  • Must be 18 or older
Opportunity Training 

Shadowing professionals first then students will be provided with verbal and written instructions on tasks.

 

Opportunity Supervision

A check in at the start of each day to communicate the plan for the day and ways to pivot if needed.
