Graphic Design InternAt — Applied Medical
Graphic Design Intern will support our design team with creating digital and print materials, preparing production-ready files, and contributing fresh creative ideas for campaigns, events, and brand initiatives. This internship is a great opportunity for someone who is passionate about visual communication, branding, and content creation, and wants hands-on experience working on real projects in a collaborative environment.
Tasks:
The Graphic Design Intern will perform professional and pre-professional creative duties under the supervision of the senior graphic designers. Responsibilities are intended to provide hands-on industry experience and support the achievement of learning outcomes related to visual communication, creative problem-solving, production processes, collaboration, and professional workplace practices.
The student intern will:
1. Design and develop digital and print materials including flyers, posters, brochures, digital signage, print signage, presentations, and promotional collateral
2. Apply branding standards and visual identity guidelines to maintain consistency across all creative materials
3. Use professional design software including Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, and InDesign to create and revise production-ready artwork
4. Participate in creative brainstorming sessions and contribute original design concepts and visual solutions
5. Prepare files for print production and digital distribution
6. Collaborate with other designers and project stakeholders to interpret project goals and implement design revisions based on feedback
7. Assist in the development of visual content for campaigns, events, and organizational initiatives
8. Manage multiple design assignments while meeting project timelines and deadlines
9. Organize and maintain digital assets, working files, and version control systems using our company file management software
10. Develop an understanding of typography, layout, color theory, and composition
11. Review and evaluate design work for accuracy, quality, branding consistency, and technical requirements
12. Gain exposure to professional creative workflows, project coordination, and collaborative design processes within a business environment
The majority of assigned duties are professional and pre-professional in nature and require the application of technical, creative, organizational, and communication skills appropriate for a college-level internship experience.
Training:
The Graphic Design Intern will receive hands-on training and mentorship in the following areas:
- Our Company Brand standards and style
- Adobe Creative Suite workflows (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign)
- File preparation for print and digital production
- Typography, layout, and design best practices
- Creative project workflow and time management
- Collaboration with cross-functional teams
- Feedback implementation and revision processes

- Real-world experience working on creative campaigns and projects
- Weekly scheduled one-on-one mentor meetings
