OPERATIONS INTERNAt — CTBC Bank USA Corp.
Performs the role of Wire Specialist, performs the processing of Incoming and Outgoing wire transfers. Conducts and fulfills research requests.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Area #1 (90%)
- Implement the operation of daily Incoming and/or Outgoing wire transfers, return wires.
- Includes wire entry, branch/department reconciliation.
- Includes conducting OFAC review and referring high risk/fraudulent activity for further review
Area #2 (10%)
- Fulfilling record research, filing documents and record retention
OTHER RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Successfully complete all mandatory training on related Bank and BSA compliance as well as other laws and regulations as assigned in a timely manner.
- Perform all assigned duties under Bank’s compliance programs and related laws & regulations.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Education, Experience and Skills Required:
- High School diploma or equivalent with anticipation of continuing education towards degree
- Wire transfer knowledge and basic PC skills preferred
- Must be able to type 30+ wpm, work efficiently and accurately while meeting established deadlines.
- Good communication, telephone, and interpersonal skills
- Fluent in English and Chinese (mandarin preferred) a major plus.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
- Minimum mobility to work in an office setting; sit for prolonged period of times; operate office equipment including use of a computer keyboard; and reach with hands and arms. Employees are occasionally required to walk and stand and lift and move records and documents weighing 30 pounds or less.
COMMUNICATION DEMANDS:
- Attention to detail, strong organizational, communication, interpersonal, self-motivated, and analytical skills, ability to interact with all levels of management and staff.
Tasks:
Student will be trained on processing outgoing wires for CTBC clients. They will be trained on our wire system and will be responsible for processing wires in values between $100 - $10M+ dollars. Student will be trained on various banks systems in support of their daily responsibilities.
Training:
Student will participate in Employee orientation on their first day with the Bank. Once that is complete student will meet with their direct manager who will go over their OJT curriculum and expectations. Manager and student will have bi weekly 1-1's to check in and determine how everything is progressing.
Learning outcome
Student will be able to independently process outgoing wire request received from our clients. They will also have a basic understanding of our banking system and should be able to complete basic customer inquiries utilizing our banking system.
