Opportunity Summary 

The Tax Intern supports the firm’s tax professionals in providing high-quality tax compliance and advisory services to clients. This role provides practical exposure to tax return preparation, research, and client service within a professional accounting environment. The intern works under the supervision of senior staff and contributes to engagements across a variety of industries while maintaining confidentiality and adhering to firm standards.

Tasks:

Description of Tasks
The Tax Intern will assist with a variety of tasks, including:

Preparing portions of federal, state, and local tax returns for individuals and entities
Collecting, organizing, and reviewing client financial data and supporting documents
Entering data into tax software and verifying accuracy of information
Preparing and maintaining tax workpapers and supporting documentation
Performing basic tax research and summarizing findings
Assisting with tax planning and advisory projects as assigned
Communicating with team members regarding assignment progress and questions
Supporting administrative and operational tasks, especially during peak tax season
Ensuring confidentiality and proper handling of sensitive client information

Trainig:

The firm will provide structured training to support the intern’s development, which may include:

Orientation to firm policies, procedures, and technology systems
Instruction on tax preparation software and workflow tools
Training sessions on tax fundamentals and current tax regulations
Guidance on preparing and organizing workpapers in accordance with firm standards
On-the-job training through direct mentorship from experienced tax professionals
Feedback and performance check-ins to support continuous improvement
