Opportunity Summary
Our nonprofit organization gives students the opportunity to work with low income community members helping them apply for the public benefits and CalFresh and MediCal, helping them navigate the healthcare system, and providing them with referrals to other vital services. Work with us also qualifies as Community Health Worker (CHW)experience, as we are in the process of becoming a CalAim funded program. We also operate food pantry programs and we will ask for your assistance as needed.
Opportunity Learning Outcomes
You will attain CHW and direct community caseworker experience.
Opportunity Training
Training will be provided for all services.
Additional risk specific to this opportunity
Wear closed-toe shoes in warehouse and just practice general safety guidelines.
