A short paragraph explaining why you'd like to join LYNX
We're looking for someone who loves great design, enjoys solving creative problems, and wants to build work that makes an impact.
Tasks:
The student will perform professional and pre-professional graphic design work under the supervision of the LYNX Enterprise creative team. Duties include:
Design original marketing materials, digital advertisements, social media graphics, and branded collateral for commercial clients.
Create production-ready artwork for apparel, embroidery, print-on-demand products, signage, and promotional merchandise.
Develop branding concepts, visual identities, and marketing assets that align with client objectives and brand guidelines.
Produce product mockups, presentations, and e-commerce graphics for client proposals and online storefronts.
Participate in project planning, creative brainstorming sessions, and design reviews with the supervisor.
Apply typography, color theory, layout, and visual communication principles to real-world business projects.
Revise and refine designs based on client and supervisor feedback while meeting project deadlines.
Prepare and organize digital files according to commercial print and embroidery production standards.
Observe and collaborate with production staff to understand how design decisions affect manufacturing and final product quality.
Build a professional portfolio by completing client-facing projects that are produced and implemented in commercial settings.
More than 80% of the student's responsibilities will involve professional graphic design, branding, and creative problem-solving activities. Administrative tasks will be limited to project organization, file management, and other duties directly supporting the student's educational objectives and will comprise less than 20% of the internship experience.
Training:
Students will begin the internship with a general employer orientation covering LYNX Enterprise's mission, workplace expectations, communication procedures, and design workflows. Each intern will receive hands-on training in Adobe Creative Suite, branding, apparel design, and production-ready artwork for embroidery and print. Weekly one-on-one meetings with a supervisor will provide mentorship, feedback, and goal setting. Students will also shadow team members, review work samples and brand guidelines, and receive project-specific instruction before each assignment. Training is designed to progressively build technical skills, professional communication, and real-world experience through increasingly independent design projects.
Learning Outcome:
By the end of the internship, students will be able to:
Apply graphic design principles to real-world branding, marketing, and apparel projects for businesses, nonprofits, and universities.
Create production-ready artwork for embroidery, DTF, screen printing, UV printing, and other commercial decoration methods.
Develop and maintain brand consistency across digital, print, apparel, and environmental graphics.
Translate client objectives into effective visual solutions through concept development, design iterations, and presentation.
Collaborate effectively within a fast-paced entrepreneurial environment by managing multiple projects, meeting deadlines, and incorporating feedback.
