This service opportunity is limited only to Kinesiology majors enrolled in KIN 471S.
The Service Learning student will support the Campus Wellness Coordinator in promoting campus community well-being through outreach, engagement, and program support. This position provides hands-on experience in health promotion, event planning, communications, and administrative operations. The student will assist with social media content, the Otter Pups Therapy Dog Program, and a variety of administrative tasks that help ensure the success of campus wellness initiatives. The student will also be a representative on the President’s Wellness Advisory Committee.

Social Media & Communications
- Assist in developing and scheduling engaging social media content that promotes Campus Wellness programs, events, and resources
- Create graphics, photos, videos, and other digital content
- Help maintain a consistent online presence aligned with the university's branding and communication guidelines
- Monitor social media engagement and provide recommendations for increasing student participation
- Assist with marketing materials, flyers, newsletters, and promotional campaigns
Otter Pups Therapy Dog Program
- Assist with planning, coordinating, and promoting Otter Pups Therapy Dog visits and special events
- Support participant engagement by greeting students and providing information about the program
- Assist with collecting attendance data and participant feedback
Administrative Support
- Assist with data entry, filing, and maintaining program records
- Prepare materials for workshops, outreach events, and presentations
- Support scheduling, room reservations, and event logistics as assigned
- Complete other administrative duties that support Campus Wellness operations
Opportunity Supervision
Weekly meeting with Campus Wellness Coordinator
The student will be working with therapy dogs.
