Teacher InternAt — Catalyst Kids-Catalyst Family Inc. -Stonegate

Plans and implements engaging, age-appropriate lesson plans and activities that support children's social, emotional, physical, and cognitive development. Conducts ongoing child assessments, documents progress, and uses observations to guide individualized learning. Provides active supervision to ensure a safe and nurturing environment while maintaining positive behavior guidance. Builds strong relationships with children and families, communicates regularly about progress, and maintains a clean, organized classroom that meets licensing and program standards. Collaborates with team members to create a high-quality learning environment and supports daily program operations.

Tasks:

Students will plan and implement developmentally appropriate activities, supervise children in a safe and engaging environment, complete child observations and assessments, assist with lesson planning, support children's social-emotional development, maintain classroom organization, communicate professionally with staff and families, and participate in team meetings and program planning. Students will also apply child development principles, licensing regulations, and best practices in early childhood education throughout their placement.

Training:

Students will receive an initial orientation covering program policies, health and safety procedures, and classroom expectations. They will work alongside an experienced mentor, receive ongoing coaching and feedback, participate in job shadowing, and gain hands-on experience with lesson planning, child assessments, active supervision, and daily classroom operations.
