Outreach and Organizing with LiBREAt — Long Beach Residents Empowered (LiBRE)
Support LiBRE's housing justice work by connecting with renters across Long Beach through community outreach, Know Your Rights workshops, tenant meetings, and neighborhood events. Students will build relationships with residents, provide tenant education, conduct outreach, and help organize collective action to strengthen tenant power and advance housing justice.

Weekly supervisor 1:1's, shadowing Outreach and Organizing teams, hands-on practice with feedback
Students will receive guidance and training on safe outreach practices, including working in pairs or teams, maintaining regular communication with staff, and assessing situations before engaging.
Students will not be expected to enter a home or remain in a situation that feels unsafe. Staff will be available to provide support and guidance during field activities, and students will be encouraged to immediately communicate any safety concerns. Outreach activities will take place during designated hours and in coordination with LiBRE staff.
Get in contact with the site's site supervisor, Lilly, to confirm availability and onboarding requirements. After, complete all S4 placement onboarding requirements in accordance with CSU policies.
