Opportunity Summary 

This HR Internship offers a student hands-on exposure to foundational human resources operations, recruitment, and employee relations in a fast-paced environment. The intern will work directly alongside the HR team to support candidate screening, facilitate onboarding, maintain HRIS data, and assist with employee engagement initiatives. This role is ideal for students seeking practical experience to bridge their academic HR knowledge with real-world business practices.

Opportunity Learning Outcomes 

By the end of this opportunity, students will have learned to: Navigate the Employee Lifecycle: Assist with end-to-end recruitment, including candidate screening, scheduling interviews, and executing the onboarding process for new hires. Maintain HR Operations & Systems: Manage confidential employee records, support basic compliance tasks, and gain hands-on experience using an HR Information System (HRIS). Apply Professional HR Communication: Draft workplace communications, respond to routine employee inquiries, and practice handling sensitive workplace situations with discretion.

Opportunity Training 

Orientation & HR Systems: Introductory training on internal policies, confidentiality protocols, and software tools (e.g., HRIS, applicant tracking systems, office communication platforms). Role-Specific Onboarding: Guided walk-throughs for core responsibilities, including candidate screening, scheduling workflows, and employee file management. Compliance & Best Practices: Overview of labor law basics, equal opportunity guidelines, and data privacy standard operating procedures.

Workplace Environment: Standard office/remote work conditions with ergonomic desk setups; low physical risk. Data Security & Discretion: Explicit safety guidelines around handling Sensitive Personal Data (PII) to ensure compliance with privacy regulations and maintain employee confidentiality. Emergency & Health Protocols: Full orientation on facility emergency exits, first-aid resources, and general health and safety standards applicable to the workplace.
