Opportunity Summary 

Service Learning Students will be teaching studio art lessons virtually to K-12 classes over ZOOM with the Carolyn Campagna Kleefeld ContemporarArt Museum at CSULB.

Earn service learning hours by teaching or assisting with studio art lessons for K12 students using ZOOM! Empower young students to learn about contemporary abstract artists through companion YouTube studio visit and live/ppt art making lesson. Museum education will support and supervise in a mentor-base manner.

Opportunity Learning Outcomes 

Students will have gained skills in teaching art-making lessons over the ZOOM platform. This will include use of art materials, methods, teaching strategies, aligning with appropriate common core standards, use of ZOOM platform and engagement with multigenerational community.

Opportunity Training 

Students will be trained to teach over the ZOOM platform. Students will receive teaching materials and lessons. Students will work with museum education staff to schedule, teach and evaluate their participation
