Welcome! Thank you for your interest in the College Corps Program at SF State University!

College Corps Fellows make a big commitment to dedicate 450 hours of service for the entire academic year.  Please think about your Fall/Spring schedules and other commitments in advance in considering whether this level of commitment is possible and healthy for you. If this academic year is not ideal for you, please explore this opportunity again the following year.

In addition to your service, you will have the opportunity to grow leadership and team-building skills, network with participants from our campus and other universities, build your resume and gain the confidence to become a community leader.

We recommend interested applicants attend available online information sessions, review FAQs, and reach out to program staff should you have any questions!

What We're Looking For

  • Passion for working in partnership with diverse communities to make positive change;
  • Flexibility to work in different areas and adapt to changing circumstances;
  • Growth mindset and eagerness to try new things;
  • Interest in connecting with and learning from other students and partners across the state;
  • Enthusiasm, reliability, and commitment;
  • Willingness to be an ambassador for the Fellowship on campus and beyond.

This application will require you to upload your resume and respond to personal statement questions:

  • Why do you want to become a Fellow and be placed as an intern with a community-based, non-profit organization? (150-250 words)
  • What personal or professional goals would participation in this program help you achieve? (150-250 words)
  • Think about an accomplishment of which you are particularly proud. Share what it was and why you find pride in it (150-250 words)
