Organization Description

To provide free medical care in the Bay Area for those who have the greatest need and the least access.

Program Information

Our volunteer medical staff provides non-invasive, acute care to uninsured residents of the Monterey Peninsula (18 years and older).

Our services include:

  • Acute care for minor illness or injury (cold, flu, allergies, skin rash, minor infection, stomach ache, asthma); hypertension, hyperlipidemia, thyroid disorders
  • Type II diabetes management with education and free glucose monitoring supplies
  • Laboratory, diagnostic and mammography testing
  • Specialty referrals as available
  • Spanish-speaking interpreters

​We DO NOT provide the following but may be able to suggest low-cost community resources:

  • Women’s health services or STD treatment
  • Mental health services
  • Dental services
  • Routine physical exams or examinations to determine disability
  • Chronic pain management
  • Narcotic medications
  • Surgical procedures
