Organization Description

Interim is a private non-profit organization with 18 facilities in Monterey County serving individuals with psychiatric disabilities.Services include housing,outreach case management,family support programs, homeless assistance,etc. Placements available in Salinas, Monterey, and Marina.

Interim, Inc. is the only agency in Monterey County that provides affordable housing, residential treatment, social support, homeless outreach and support, family outreach and supported education, and employment services for adults who have serious mental illnesses.  Our mission is to provide services and affordable housing supporting members of our community mental illness in building productive and satisfying lives.

Program Information

Success Over Stigma: Our Interns support staff collecting demographic data, plan events, host groups learn group leadership and facilitation skills.

CHHS interns will learn about and practice providing resource referrals, advocacy for clients and supporting the development of social activities for clients.  CHHS interns will learn about and provide skills training and tools to clients who would like to become leaders and take an active role in the wellness and recovery movement. CHHS interns will support the assessment of center participants to design client driven and client run OMNI programs in order to reflect the suggestions, interests and talents of members. Activities include co-facilitation of workshops; assistance with event activities; participating in agency trainings; and supporting outreach and assessment. Facilitating groups, providing resource referrals, creating curriculum for groups, interacting with clients, and attending trainings/meetings.

All interns will be required to adhere to company policy regarding any COVID-19 guidance. They will be offered a safety orientation during onboarding.
