Long Beach Environmental Alliance

Organization Description

Long Beach Environmental Alliance is a non-profit organization working to address Pollution, Litter, Climate Change-Sea Level Rise, Solar, Wind and Water Renew Power and what impacts they all have on us. We are working to bring High School, College Students, their Student Organizations and Teachers together to work with Organizations in the Community and State to address all the things we have name at the top and more. Only by working together can we address these problems and make them work. We work with a number of difference organizations and belong to a number of organizations as well. And try to bring together organizations and people who would not have thought about working together or how they have a impact on each other.

Program Information

Working together to find solutions to Environmental, Homelessness, Affordable Housing, Public Transportation, Health, and issues through passion, action, and advocacy. And how Climate Change has effect on everything we do in life. We hope to bring Students, Student Majors, Student Organizations, CSULB Community, and Long Beach Community together to address the problems we face and will face. We need to do better in bring Baby-Boomers, Millennials, Generation X and Z, to work together and address the problems we all face and bring LBUSD, LBCC, CSULB Students, Teachers, Professors, Staff and their many Organizations and Clubs to work with the many Organizations in the Long Beach Community! Something we have not done a good job over the years....

All students, regardless of race, ethnicity, national origin, religion, sex, gender, gender identity, and sexual orientation, are open and welcome to participate.

Health & Safety

We do Beach and Community Clean Ups and we work around things that pollute the environment. There's time students and others will have to wear gloves or safey glasses while working outdoors.

Students may be working with the elderly, disability, and minors under 18 years of age. If working with any of the groups name we will have a plan in place before working with them and asking the students if they have any experience.

May work sometimes around elderly or disable and know how to be respectful an understanding when working around or with them.If CSULB is back to in person learning students could be taking part in cleanups and be around the elderly, disable and people under 18 of age. Doing environmental and health work can put you in contact with people of all ages sometimes but not always. Within our alliance one of our partners are a group of elderly and some with disability (Long Beach Gray Panthers) and other organizations we work with as well.We give students multiple ways to stay in contact, so to make it easy for them as possible. And to ensure safety during coronavirus 19.

To keep it easy for students and everyone else to have and easy way to communicate with each other one-on-one or as a group.
