Torrance-Lomita Meals on Wheels

Organization Description

To deliver nourishing meals to housebound resident of Torrance and Lomita who cannot prepare meals for themselves because of illness, disability or poor health. We are a non-profit, community based, volunteer organization that has been delivering low cost meals five days a week to the housebound, without regard to age, race, sex, religion or income, since 1973. We serve the handicapped, the aged, frail, recently hospitalized and chronically ill who are unable to prepare their own meals.

Program Information

All students, regardless of race, ethnicity, national origin, religion, sex, gender, gender identity, and sexual orientation, are open and welcome to participate.

Health & Safety

The majority of our recipients of MOW are elderly, however it is not a requirement for our program.
