Organization Description

Harmon Oaks is a Reggio-Inspired and STEM focused preschool serving the San Fernando Valley. We promote inquiry, discovery, and we learn through both self-directed and guided invitations. Harmon Oaks was founded on principles of community and a passion to educate. Our goal is to give parents the ability to work during the day while feeling at ease. Children are cared for in a safe, enriching, and care-centered environment that provides purposeful and intentional opportunities to play, explore, and learn.

Program Information

Student Interns, Student Teachers, Associate Teachers and Lead Teachers Harmon Oaks Nursery School is in search of passionate early educators and aspiring lead teachers including, Lead Early Two's Teachers and Lead Teacher for 3 to 4's,to join our team at our North Hollywood campus. All applicants should have a minimum of 24 child development units, while continuing their education (more information regarding requirements below). Applicants should also have knowledge of different progressive and time-tested (Montessori, Reggio, Magda Gerber, etc.) approaches. All applicants should meet one of the following requirements: (1) Twenty-four semester units of course work in early childhood education or child development (excluding field work). (2) A course specifically in infant and toddler development, (3) A minimum of 1 year experience as an intern or assistant within a nursery school environment or center environment.
