CSUSM Aspiring Scholars Program
The CSUSM Scholars Program will provide students with intellectual disabilities with the knowledge, skills, and opportunity to follow their aspirations and to live their lives inclusively in their community. Peer mentors, faculty, and staff will become advocates for change to create and maintain an equitable and inclusive world. The CSUSM Scholars program is committed to fostering a welcoming, inclusive post-secondary education environment where students with intellectual disabilities are provided meaningful inclusive access to university life and successfully prepared for competitive, integrated employment in their chosen career.
Peer mentors will be supporting students with intellectual disabilities.
Peer mentors may work after 6pm in the evening in order to provide support during class times and/or campus event times. Peer mentors may be supervised less than 50% of the time as peer mentors will provide support in various locations on campus.
