Program Information

Interns will have the opportunity to provide school-based individual and group mental health support to students who attend NVUSD schools, with primary placement at one of our Wellness Centers. They will also have opportunities to actively engage families, provide mental health consultation to teachers, and participate in multidisciplinary teams of service coordination. Ultimately they will be providing NVUSD students with an opportunity to access mental health support, as well as increase and learn coping skills that will enhance their educational goals and life experience. VALLEY OAK HIGH SCHOOL WELLNESS CENTER Valley Oak High School is an accredited educational option for 16- to 18-year-old students who need an alternative setting and/or an alternative pathway to complete their graduation requirements. VOHS teachers and administrators are committed to helping students achieve academic and social/emotional growth through the three R's - Relationships, Relevance and Rigor – in a safe and welcoming culture that emphasizes Compassion, Respect, Safety and Responsibility. ELEMENTARY WELLNESS PROGRAM & COMMUNITY SCHOOLS Support the implementation of CA Community Schools Framework at one of our 4 elementary community schools.
