2/11/22 - Response to Youth Safety risk questions
- Will you provide youth protection training? We want to be sure our students understand the appropriate behavior expectations for your volunteers and students' interactions.
Yes youth protection training is provided. Normally there is in-person training, however due to Covid, SafeSchools, which includes youth protection is an online safety training & tracking system. This training is a requirement for all new hires, employees and volunteers.
- Can you confirm that the student will not be left alone with a minor in a room? We request that a paid staff member or senior volunteer always be supervising the student volunteers.
Yes, I verify that at NO time is a student left alone with a minor. This is to further verify that there is a paid staff member at all times.
