The Santa Catalina Island Conservancy exists to protect and restore the natural and cultural resources of Santa Catalina Island. Its mission is to be an exemplary steward of the Island’s resources through a balance of conservation, education, and recreation, ensuring healthy ecosystems, inspiring environmental stewardship, and providing access for public enjoyment and learning. The Conservancy manages and preserves most of the island’s land, habitats, and species while offering recreation and educational programs to connect people with nature.
