Organization Description

The Convalescent Aid Society is a 90-year-old nonprofit organization dedicated to improving the quality of life through the loan of medical equipment for in-home use. Since we opened in 1923, the agency has expanded from serving the residents of Pasadena, to addressing the needs of those throughout the greater San Gabriel Valley, Glendale, and Burbank. CAS is a non-profit organization that is funded entirely by private donations, bequests and endowments. Because of this, we are able to provide our services at absolutely no cost.

More than 18,000 items are available for loan such as: canes, commodes, wheelchairs, walkers, bath chairs, transfer benches, hospital beds and much more. All equipment are repaired, cleaned and sanitized. Delivery service is available at a reasonable cost for hospital beds. We have over 13,000 active clients at any given time, and add nearly 200 new clients every month.
