Program Information Child Development Program Intern: Los Angles location, Pomona location or Fountain Valley location Compensation: Unpaid For-credit internship Description: Generation Her seeks a dynamic, self-starter to assist in our children’s program. This internship is an excellent opportunity to experience various aspects of creating creative content for our children’s learning program. Responsibilities: • Works with Director in creating children’s program content and a creative learning environment • Assist in creating and implementing cohesive and engaging learning through teahing stress management, fitness, yoga, nutrition, music and literacy strategies • Manage event calendars • Manage and regularly organize craft and classroom materials • Update and maintain children’s check in and database • Manage and help recruit a volunteer team of childcare workers (2-4) • Collaborate with staff on new ideas, directions, and tools for creating a comprehensive program • Prepare weekly reports and maintain regular contact with supervisor Preferred Qualifications: • Experience with children birth-5 years old • Completed or working toward a college degree, preferably in a related field • Pass a background check • Understanding of the basic principles of children’s learning environments and programs • Must be computer literate • Patience in working with at risk youth and children in a high stress environment that can be chaotic and loud at times To inquire about this position please send an e-mail with your resume to: generationher@gmail.com We can’t wait to hear from you!
