As global leaders in hydrotherapy, we are the premier animal physical rehabilitation center in Southern California. Since 1998, we've been helping pets recover from surgery, lose weight, and reduce pain from arthritis, soft tissue injuries and overused muscles. Our staff of highly trained physical therapists, massage therapists, and veterinarians utilize the very latest animal rehabilitation techniques to provide pets with a tailor-made treatment plan for their individual needs. Specializing in mobility, our goal is to help an animal regain strength, increase flexibility, and improve range of motion.

Program Information

Opportunity Title: Rehab Veterinary Technician Intern

Opportunity Summary: Looking to gain experience and learn more about animal physical rehabilitation? In this externship, you will work with our staff of highly trained physical therapists, massage therapists, veterinarians and veterinary assistants to utilize the very latest animal rehabilitation techniques to provide pets with a tailor-made treatment plan for their individual needs. Our services range from hydrotherapy in our full-size pool and 3 underwater treadmills, massage therapy, acupuncture, homeopathy, cold laser therapy, ultrasound therapy, weight management, e-stimulation, and various balance and strengthening exercises on the floor and land treadmills.

By the end of this opportunity, students will have learned...

- Exposure to the animal rehabilitation specialty
- Experience handling animals in need of physical rehabilitation
- Assist PT and DVM with various modalities applied to patients
- Gain more knowledge of animal rehabilitation specialty

Our staff is highly encouraging and there will be many opportunities for interns to shadow and have hands-on training.
