Organization Description

Hospice organizations are dedicated to providing compassionate, supportive care to individuals with life-limiting illnesses. Their mission is to enhance the quality of life in a patient’s final stages by focusing on comfort, dignity, and emotional support rather than curative treatments. Hospice care takes a holistic approach, addressing physical, emotional, and spiritual needs, and includes medical care, counseling, and physical therapy services. Physical therapy in a hospice setting aims to improve comfort, manage pain, and maintain mobility to the extent possible, allowing patients to live more fully and comfortably.
