Organization Description

The SportsCrit™ Lab is a research, media, and praxis-centered initiative founded by Dr. Gyasmine George-Williams, Assistant Professor of Race, Sport, and Social Justice. Rooted in Critical Race Theory and social justice education, the lab offers undergraduate students a dynamic space to explore race, power, media, and sport through digital storytelling, policy research, and community-based activism. Students work in themed “lanes” that include digital humanities, social justice content creation, data analysis, qualitative research, and curriculum design
