Storyteller is a year-round therapeutic program providing high-quality early childhood education and comprehensive support services for children and their families facing adverse challenges in Santa Barbara County.

Additional requirements and/or considerations List of requirements for volunteers in a preschool setting:
- Fill out an application via our website.
- Per California Law and commercial care licensing, volunteers working with children in a preschool setting will need to provide proof of vaccinations for Influenza (opt-out option), COVID-19 (opt-out option), Pertussis, and Measles.
- Provide a negative TB test dated within the last calendar year. Please contact me if you need assistance with getting these required vaccinations.
- Volunteers over the age of 18 are required to complete The Volunteer Training Module for Child Abuse Mandated Reporter Training. Please bring or email me a copy of the certificate of completion. https://mandatedreporterca.com/training/volunteers (Please note: required for all individuals over the age of 18 that will be working with children).

Please submit any documents to haileigh@storytellercenter.org to become eligible for orientation. In our preliminary meeting, we will further discuss the program, scheduling, and how to be successful as a volunteer at Storyteller.

- RISK: Students may be working with behaviorally challenged populations.
- SAFETY: Students are NOT PERMITTED to take photos or video while on site.
- SITE LOCATION: Parking and work areas may not be secure or adequately illuminated.
