Opportunity Summary 

Hands on, field work experience in Parks, Recreation and Youth Development programs and services. Opportunity to learn the roles, skills and knowledge of working in the Recreation field, practice and develop knowledge and skills, engage in community building, mentor and make a difference in youth and children's lives, have fun reliving and enjoying your favorite childhood games, sports and activities, engaging with the children in our programs.

Opportunity Learning Outcomes 

Daily operations of a community Recreation Center; how to plan, organize, set up and facilitate programs and activities; community networking; how to work with children; new games and activities; how to provide a safe environment; problem solving with children and with staff; customer service; agency organizational chart; agency committees; agency programs and services; processes and procedures; community outreach and more.

Opportunity Training 

Safety Training; Daily operations training; Curriculum Training; Online trainings

Additional risk specific to this opportunity 

Due to COVID-19 Pandemic and safety measures, everyone is required to wear a face mask covering over their nose and mouth at our site.
