Lifestyle Enrichment InternAt — Broadmoor Plaza / Humangood

Opportunity Summary

The Lifestyle Enrichment Intern would work directly with the Life Enrichment Coordinator and Resident Services and assist in enhancing the lives of our residents in ways that support and foster independence and individuality. This role will provide an opportunity for the intern to learn about developing a program and appropriate activities for residents. Interns will see how activities need to accommodate individual differences in age, health status, sensory deficits, lifestyle, ethnic and cultural beliefs, values, experiences, needs, interests, abilities and skills by providing opportunities for a variety of types and levels of involvement. Interns will get to interact with our residents and will be able to practice good communication skills, organization skills, patience and flexibility and professional confidentiality. We hope that the Intern will be able to assist with organizing classes such as English second language classes, Chair Yoga, and various other classes.
