Opportunity Summary 

A D1 Training Internship is a hands-on, learn-by-doing based program in which you will be coaching middle school, high school and collegiate athletes, as well as adult/general fitness clientele. Each intern will have the chance apply their school coursework in a professional setting, become more familiar with the intricacies of program design, assessments, camps/clinics, and observe and assist in creating a culture of well-being that inspires people around the world to take care of themselves and each other.

Opportunity Learning Outcomes 

Upon completion, D1 Training interns will walk away with a sound understanding of principles of program design for athletes/clients ranging in age from 7 years old to 18+. Interns will walk away with a more diverse and broadly applicable skill set that will serve valuable in any coaching setting.

Opportunity Training 

Interns will work through a progressive curriculum with each week leading into the next and building off of the week prior. Interns will start in a mostly passive, observational role and progressively get more hands on.

Additional risk specific to this opportunity 

Interns will be asked and expected to engage in dynamic warm up drill, strength training techniques, and moderately heavy lifting.
