Volunteer in Berkeley Unified classrooms, libraries, gardens, and after school programsAt — Berkeley Public Schools Fund
Berkeley Schools Volunteers is looking for volunteers for the 23-24 school year! We place volunteers from Preschool to the Adult School, in classrooms, gardens, libraries, and after school programs. They are volunteer coaches for sports teams, debate teams, and robotics teams. They support 1:1, in group settings, and behind the scenes. They support excellent BUSD programs like AVID and Bridge. No matter your skills and interests, there is a place for you in the Classroom Volunteer program! COMMITMENT: at least 1 hour/week through the end of the school year GETTING STARTED: Use our application to submit your subject and grade level preferences and negative TB test. Then follow the process of attending orientation, getting fingerprinted with BSV, and then being "matched" to an educator. OTHER BENEFITS: Ongoing trainings on subjects relevant to your volunteer experience. Connection to the broader Berkeley community.
