The learning outcomes for the student as head coach are to learn to teach youth players the fundamentals of soccer through skill development in technique, for the player to have an understanding of the game (the tactical side), also to work with the players on their mentality, behaviors and resiliency and grit and finally help the player to physically get fit and athletic for their age-group. Above all the coach is keeps the balance on keeping the passion for the game alive in all the kids while also pushing them to be better as soccer players and most importantly be a better leader, a better teammate and ultimately a better person.
Our Soccer coaches attend league sponsored training session with invited professional and expert soccer coaches from around the world. Each coach is also encouraged to follow the USSoccer recommended Coaching License pathway from a grassroots license for 7v7/9v9 or 11v11, to a USSF D, USSF C, USSFC B and the USSF A top Youth License (a pathway that takes between 5-10 years to achieve)
The safety requirements are for coaches to make sure they know that they are in an unincorporated area with a high crime rate, but the people in our club themselves are all cultured to be respectful and watch for each other including creating a safe environment for coaches and players alike.
