Opportunity Summary 

Mt. Diablo Unified (MDUSD) is seeking Social Work (MSW) Interns for the 2024 - 2025 school year. MDUSD offers excellent clinical supervision and field placement serving k-12 students from diverse backgrounds. Field placement in MDUSD is challenging and rewarding. We have programs dedicated to serving students who are homeless, in foster care, and recent immigrants. In addition, we provide mental health services for students facing a wide range of situations and conditions. Placement includes stipend.

Opportunity Learning Outcomes 

How to perform biopsychosocial assessments, refer to interventions, and evaluate the effectiveness of services. Interns use evidence based practices to support students accessing their education in a public education setting.

Opportunity Training 

Mandatory Reporter training. Risk assessment training. Social Work internship training.

Additional risk specific to this opportunity 

Interns will have the opportunity to learn crisis intervention procedures.
