Opportunity Summary 

We are seeking enthusiastic and dedicated interns to support our campaign efforts. As an intern, you will gain hands-on experience in political campaigning, community outreach, and public relations. This role offers a unique opportunity to work closely with campaign staff and learn about the inner workings of a local election campaign. Responsibilities: Assist with campaign outreach and engagement activities. Support the planning and execution of campaign events and fundraisers. Help manage social media accounts and contribute to content creation. Participate in research and analysis of campaign issues and strategies. Provide administrative support as needed.

Opportunity Training 

Campaign Overview: An introduction to the campaign’s mission, goals, and key issues. This includes an overview of our strategic plan and the role each intern will play in advancing the campaign’s objectives. Outreach and Engagement Techniques: Training on effective community outreach strategies, including how to engage with voters, conduct surveys, and handle public interactions. This will also cover best practices for organizing events and managing volunteer efforts. Social Media and Digital Communication: Instruction on managing social media accounts, creating compelling content, and using digital tools for campaign communication. Interns will learn how to analyze engagement metrics and adjust strategies accordingly. Public Relations and Messaging: Guidance on crafting persuasive campaign messages and press releases. Interns will be trained in media relations and how to handle inquiries from journalists and community leaders. Project Management: Training in project management skills, including time management, task prioritization, and effective collaboration with team members. This will help interns manage their responsibilities efficiently and meet deadlines. Political and Policy Knowledge: Background on local government structures, policy issues relevant to the campaign, and the legislative process. This will provide interns with the context needed to understand and contribute to campaign strategies.
