Learning PartnerAt — Alameda County Library, Education and Literacy Services

Opportunity Summary

Alameda County Library’s Education and Literacy Services provides community members with free 1-on-1 support to help them achieve their reading and writing goals, as well as their listening and speaking goals. Our services are available to both youth (7-16) and adults (17+), each of whom are matched with a volunteer Learning Partner who works with them on an individual basis. Our volunteer Learning Partners are kind individuals with open minds who value patience, empathy, flexibility, and working collaboratively with our learners. They meet our learners where they are and aim to create a learning environment that is relevant to learners’ lives, goals, and needs.
