Opportunity Summary 

As a Library volunteer, you will provide valuable support for professionally trained librarians and staff. Working under the supervision of library staff, volunteers aid with a wide range of library functions, ranging from clerical support to skilled assistance with projects and programs. Your time is important to us and a vital asset. We hope that volunteering at the Library is a positive and meaningful experience for you. Opportunity Learning Outcomes 

Students will have learned about various aspects of serving in a public library, including, but not limited to, early literacy, community outreach, public service, circulation, programming, and the overall rule of the public library and working within a local municipality.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: • Must be able to frequently lift and carry up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and carry up to 25 pounds. • Push and pull objects such as book carts. • Frequently twist, bend, kneel, and crouch. • Continuously reach above, at, and below shoulder height.
