Virtual Design & Construction Coordinator Intern/Co-op Redwood Materials is seeking a VDC intern or co-op to support our team. These roles are at the center of our activities focused on creating a sustainable circular economy for lithium-ion batteries by transforming recycled materials into battery materials for new lithium-ion battery production. Responsibilities will include: Coordinate and maintain models from the Design Team, Trade Contractors, and third-party vendors, ensuring accuracy, spatial coordination, and timely resolution of issues in line with project deadlines. Collaborate with engineers, trades, and design professionals to develop an integrated model delivery approach; lead clash detection sessions to optimize construction processes and enhance quality. Champion the use of advanced BIM technology, providing support and oversight for its effective implementation. Identify and resolve conflicts in Architectural, Structural, and MEP elements, presenting practical, cost-effective solutions. Desired Qualifications: Currently pursuing a Bachelor's (3rd/4th year) or Master’s (1st year) in Construction Management, Civil, Architectural, or Structural Engineering. Experience with Revit, Navisworks, and reality capture tools. Knowledge of scripting or visual programming for automation. Strong leadership, project management, and problem-solving skills. Effective communication, organizational, and time-management abilities. Proven ability to collaborate with diverse stakeholders.
