La Terra Fina’s IT team is offering a part-time internship focused on cybersecurity, AI tools, and IT documentation. This hands-on opportunity is ideal for students or early-career professionals looking to gain real-world experience in IT operations. Key responsibilities include: Enhancing IT documentation using IT Glue Researching and prototyping AI solutions (e.g., chatbots, productivity tools) Supporting cybersecurity efforts using Rapid7 and KnowBe4 Shadowing IT support and ticket triage The internship includes a final project presentation to IT leadership, weekly learning reflections, and exposure to enterprise tools and practices. By the end, the intern will have developed practical skills in cybersecurity, AI integration, and knowledge management, under the guidance of experienced professionals. This is a valuable opportunity to contribute to meaningful IT initiatives while building a strong foundation for a future tech career.

Opportunity Training 

IT Onboarding & Security Training: Introduction to company policies, security protocols, acceptable use policies, and compliance expectations (e.g., via KnowBe4). Tool Access & Orientation: Hands-on training on platforms including IT Glue (for documentation), Rapid7 (for vulnerability scanning), and KnowBe4 (for cybersecurity awareness). Shadowing & Mentorship: Structured shadowing of IT helpdesk support, ticket triage processes, and participation in team meetings to gain exposure to workflows and best practices. AI & Cybersecurity Research Guidance: Assigned topics with context, expectations, and support from IT team members to guide AI tool evaluation and cybersecurity analysis. Weekly Check-ins & Feedback: Regular meetings with the supervisor to review progress, answer questions, and provide ongoing coaching. Project Planning Support: Guidance on planning, building, and presenting a capstone project (e.g., chatbot or cybersecurity toolkit), including documentation and user guide development.

Additional risk specific to this opportunity 

This is a low-risk, office-based internship with no physical or environmental hazards. The intern will receive training in cybersecurity and data privacy, including phishing awareness and responsible use of IT systems. For onsite work, safety orientation will cover emergency procedures, evacuation routes, and building protocols. Remote work will include guidance on setting up an ergonomic workstation. Confidentiality and acceptable use policies will be strictly followed.
