Opportunity Summary 

The AVID (Advancement Via Individual Determination) Tutor will support high school students enrolled in the AVID elective course by facilitating collaborative study groups, encouraging academic success, and promoting college readiness. Tutors serve as role models, mentors, and guides to help students develop effective learning strategies, organizational skills, and critical thinking abilities. If you are interested in being a future educator, this is for you and a great opportunity for experience and support!

Opportunity Training 

Students will be provided 8 hours of onsite training to work with students and then meet regularly to calibrate assignments and work samples.
