Students will receive orientation and guidance from church leadership and youth coordinators before beginning their responsibilities. Training will include: Overview of church mission and values to ensure alignment with faith-based and community goals. Lesson planning support for Sunday School, including use of teaching materials, age-appropriate methods, and integrating art and crafts. Youth group activity planning guidance, including strategies for engaging teens in meaningful and faith-centered activities. Mentorship and supervision throughout the service experience, with opportunities to shadow experienced leaders before independently leading activities. Ongoing feedback and support to help the student grow in teaching, communication, and leadership skills.
The church is committed to providing a safe and supportive environment for all students and participants. All youth and children’s activities are conducted under the direct supervision of church staff and trained volunteers. Students will never be left alone with minors and will always work alongside another adult leader in compliance with child safety guidelines. Emergency procedures and contact information are reviewed during orientation, and first aid supplies are available on-site. The church follows all facility safety protocols, including maintaining secure spaces for children and youth during services and events.
There is no formal application form required. Students interested in serving will communicate directly with the church coordinator to discuss opportunities and responsibilities. Because our church values strong relationships, students are expected to already be active participants in the church community or provide known references within the congregation. A mutual understanding will be established through direct conversation, ensuring the student is prepared for the role and aligned with the church’s mission and expectations.
