Program AdvisorAt — YMCA-PG&E Teen Center - Y-Scholars Program
In this volunteer experience, you will assist first-generation college-bound, and low-income seniors at the Y-Scholars Program, an afterschool program that prepares students for college. We aspire to build a learning community that practices continuous self-improvement so that we can achieve higher ambitions.
We help you gain skills in supporting Y-Scholars with their academics, social-emotional development, and leadership abilities. You learn to work with others to best support and manage a class of Y-Scholars with their academic, career, and life goals. You expand on your leadership development through managing groups, projects, and personal goals.
Team and one-on-one professional coaching as well as weekly check-ins/trainings.
Most programming will be done virtually. In the case that we need to do in-person programming, social distance and other COVID19 prevention policies will take place.
